Little kids are curious, sometimes too much so. After all, their favourite question is “Why?”

More than half of all poisonings in British Columbia involve young children. If you keep your medications out on the counter or in an unlocked cupboard, we have to ask: Why?

Don’t kid yourself: small kids can’t tell the difference between pills and candy. Remember to put your medications up high and locked away. That includes over the counter and prescription meds.

And if you have leftover medication, don’t forget to take it to your local London Drugs so they can dispose of them properly.
